If You Run Windows, Update before April 1

Published: 4:03 PM GMT-08, Monday, 30 March 2009

On April 1, some virus programmers want to make a fool out of Windows users by taking control of their computers enough to send email spam and scams to people all over the world. If you don't want to let that happen, be sure to do two things before it strikes midnight and April 1 starts:

  • Run Windows Update to update your operating system.
  • Make sure to update your virus program's virus definitions and run a scan.
Your virus program's vendor may not quite have a detector ready yet, so try this a few times before April 1. There's a Windows operating system fix right now, though, it's been available since October.

I think that some people r just idiots!!!!!!!!! It is mostly 12 year olds from Russia who send out these viruses. Turn off your computer tonite and they can't hack ur computer. If u dont need it 2mrrw go ahead and leave it off 4 awhile and make sure ur protected. Make sure that Windows Defender and other programs are updated (They should be automatically). GOOD LUCK PCS!
