I still can't purchase the Mac version. There's a PC/Mac box but I have to wonder what's on it for the Mac, as there's no download version for the Mac available.

This is a case where I wouldn't really mind being wrong.
left by: Dee-Ann LeBlanc

Spore for the Mac

And you were wrong....
left by: And...

Pondering new directions

Dee-Ann . . . Ultimately it sounded better to just go down to one for now. I'll keep your disappointment in mind though when I prepare for the 9th edition. I guess I'd say I am disappointed with the decision to only write about one distro....I think including Debian or a debian based distro made sense...for folks to get a handle on how different package managers work.
Other than that I am looking forward ti purchasing the book and seeing what's new...
Take care...

I know I'd walk away impressed.

And another thing you could do is show off the huge range of software that can be grabbed from the repos via the GUI. I prefer to use the console but I can see how the GUI for apt-get and the like would really impress anyone.
left by: Dave

Installing Linux in a triple-boot on a MacIntel machine?

John Dooley dude can tell me in ddetail how did u install triple booting on ur machine

That runs just fine. I'm trying to do the same with Fedora Core 5 (or 6) but the installs insist on re-formatting the entire disk - I never get a chance to identify the partition I want Fedora to use. Anything new?
