Type: All Day Event
HPlearningCenter.com is offering another instance of Linux 201, which will start on 17 February 2005 and run through 25 March. This is an online, self-paced course, so if you notice this after the course starts you're still welcome to jump in and join us. The course description is as follows (this is a fairly beginner-level course, basically taking people from being able to install Fedora Core and do basic things with it a bit more into system administration):
Picking up where Linux 101 left off, Linux 201 takes you deeper into
Linux. Fedora Core 2 remains the focus when it comes to the GUI, but
the greater command-line coverage translates better to the whole range
of distributions. Some topics such as system configuration are expanded
here, since they couldn't fit into Linux 101. Other topics -- burning
CD-ROMs, expanding multimedia support, adding NTFS support, and
removing and managing the software on your system --are all important
issues for an end user to know, especially if you're administering your
own Linux desktop. By the end of this course, you will reach a whole
new level of being able to control your own computing destiny.
